End of a chapter and beginning of the next

A letter of encouragement.

I wondered what I should write about on my blog, during this time of my life–a time of transition, confusion, excitement and everything in between. Rather than writing about what I typically do, I thought that this time I would share a story. My story.

I never thought that I would be where I am today, let alone be here at all. The last few years have been full of both struggle and also beauty. I am here to encourage anyone who is going through a difficult time. This is not the end for you. You have potential and promise beyond compare. You are doing so good, and if no one has told you lately, I am proud of you.

I think my story is a story about overcoming, and extending self-grace. We are our hardest critics at times. Sometimes, we push ourselves more than we ought to. Give yourself time to heal and the place to do so. You are too important and too amazing to not be given that opportunity.

Find what brings you joy. Discover new hobbies. Develop deeper relationships. Enjoy quiet time, or go out and surround yourself with crowds of people. Whatever you do, do it for you. What do you need? I encourage you to think about this and strategize a way to obtain it. You deserve this. You can do it.
